Devrio instantly turns a video of a space into a 3D virtual walkthrough with measurements accurate down to the inch. Contractors have homeowners create these 3D virtual walkthroughs to speed up the quoting process, get to the budget conversation sooner, and reduce unnecessary site visits.
How Does It Work?
Devrio is fast, easy, and free. You have to download the Devrio Mobile App, but there's no login or account setup. It works just like the camera app on your phone or tablet. As a homeowner, you remain in full control of your 3D virtual walkthroughs. The contractor you are working with will only be able to see the space when you explicitly share it with them.
Step 1: Receive an invite code from your contractor.
Step 2: Download the Devrio App. Double-check the list of compatible devices as Devrio only works on iPhones and iPads with LiDAR.
Step 3: Enter the invite code and follow the steps to begin scanning. It's as simple as taking a video. The areas you haven't covered will appear black.
Step 4: Tap Share your project to send the 3D virtual walkthrough back to your contractor. They will not have access until you share it.
Optional: For spaces that aren't connected, like an upstairs bathroom and a downstairs bathroom, reenter the invite code to scan and share them separately.

Is it free to use?

What if I still want to meet my contractor in person?
We don't blame you! If you're undertaking a big project then it's a good idea to meet with your contractor in person. Every situation and company is different, but generally on smaller projects like painting, countertop replacements, driveway resealing, and minor remodels, you and your contractor can build rapport virtually. For example, now that you've exchanged a 3D virtual walkthrough of your space, you can meet with your contractor via video chat to discuss any details or concerns. The idea is not to eliminate in-person appointments, it's to make the entire process more efficient.
What about privacy? Who will be able to see my space?
