Scanning is super easy and just like taking a video. There's also no login or account setup for the mobile app. Simply open it, enter your invite code, and start scanning.

Step By Step Guide

Follow the steps below and you'll be on your way to creating beautiful and accurate 3D virtual walkthroughs of your home improvement project in no time.

Receiving an invite code to the Devrio app


Step 1: Enter your invite code or start a project on your own.

Step 2: Open curtains, turn on the lights, and make sure people and pets will not move through your shot.

Step 3: Plan a route that circles the space. For example, start in one corner of the room and plan to scan around until you return to that corner.

Step 4: Tap the record button to start scanning. The black indicates areas you have not scanned.

Finish: Tap the record button again to stop scanning.












Restart your 3D scan using the Devrio app


Optional: Your 3D virtual walkthrough will look better after you process it, but now's the time to restart if you feel you need it.












It's Not Always Perfect - That's Okay!

3D virtual walkthroughs don't always come out perfect and that's okay! It's still a great tool for kicking off your project virtually. If you see these imperfections, don't fret, it's normal and doesn't affect the accuracy.


Mirrors may cause duplication. The camera isn't all that smart. It thinks the other side of your mirror is another room. That's okay, we humans know that.

Small Gaps Are Okay: Small gaps are okay, it just means this area wasn't captured. They won't be a problem unless you're missing an entire wall or section of the floor. If that's the case, try again.
